Very similar to the mushroom coffee, I saw an ad; with this particular company I shared the ad on my story (Instagram) and they reached out to me. I will have to say I/we had SO MANY issues in the beginning, I truly was less than 2 secs from giving up. I tend to have what I call “the rule of 3” - if you try 3xs and it doesn’t happen after those 3xs, whatever the situation is, it’s usually not meant to happen. I had already hit that 3rd time, not necessarily with the company I was working with but with the company, I had to go through to partner with them. I am SO glad that I tried ONE more time!

*Sidenote - I’ve tried a ridiculous amount of protein powders, shakes, drinks, etc. in the past when I was on my extreme health, fitness, workout kick. All of these things are fine… in MODERATION! There is such a thing as too much. I reached a point where I couldn’t look at another “protein drink” whether powder or liquid. I gave everything I had left away years ago.

(back to business)

I really hope whoever works in their marketing dept. Is getting paid well. They were able to reel me back in! Even though it’s not a “protein shake” I didn’t want anything that even slightly resembled one.

Every claim that the company made was true! I have so many GI issues. Thank goodness it seriously does NOT make me bloat, my stomach hurt, my headache, or any of my other regular issues with food (even if the said food claims to be “healthy” or allergy-free). I know it sounds weird but it’s weird to me to actually eat or drink something and not experience pain and/or discomfort in some way shape or form. I’m so used to the pain and discomfort, that, that is my “normal”

The 1st day I tried this was on the 13th, in the afternoon. I used the frozen prepackaged, pre-proportioned fruit from the store. I’m going to be super transparent and say that I had always planned to make smoothies out of the drinks, just in case I didn’t like them. On the contrary! I think I like them too much! 😂 I thought I was going to be cold when I woke up this morning so I intended to drink my mushroom coffee (to keep me warm). I was actually SUPER HOT! I had already planned to drink a smoothie today (because I’m obsessed) so it worked out anyway. It was way too hot to have coffee and/or food. (I can only speak for myself, I LOVE it when it’s hot but… I don’t know if there’s anyone else like me but when it’s too hot smoothies are the only way to go!)

On another note, I’m so glad that these shakes have pretty much the same vitamins and minerals that my multi-vitamins had because I’m no longer taking the pills so I’m still able to get the nutrients in this way. It’s not every day, unfortunately, but something is better than nothing!

I've had so many things going on lately that I was unable to finish this post the way I wanted to. In the meantime I‘ve had I don't know how many more smoothies. I love this stuff!!! I think even if I didn't have GI issues I would still buy and drink this. I honestly didn't think I would like it this much.

Medical issues or not, I highly recommend this! (and NOT because I partnered with them).

You don't have to take my word for it, click the link to try it for yourself!

  • I love the fact that there is FREE 2-day shipping on ALL orders.
  • Replacement or Refund for up to 1 year! (from date of purchase)

Homemade Taco Sauce

This is nice and uncomplicated! You know the only thing I'd change is the salt and make it kosher, other than that this recipe is clean. I haven't made it yet but I will the next time I need taco sauce! Homemade things are better!

Hough Bakery - butter cookies

Hough Bakery By  Gail Greenberg   &   Diane Rolfe Hough Bakery was an integral  part of me and my family's lives, (most people in Cleveland for that matter) I was heartbroken when they closed. I have  always remembered the cookies and doughnuts from this magical bakery. Their products were like nothing I had ever had before (and it was extra  magical because I was so little/young) I have been searching for about 30 years for something similar - no luck... but, thank goodness there are a few recipes floating around the internet! Unfortunately  even with Archie's being open, my food afflictions will not allow  me to enjoy those old time favorites. Luckily, converting is what I do and that's what this site is about so I  will switch some things  around and see how it turns out! The recipe below is just ONE of my all time favorites, please enjoy! Memories of a signature blue-and-white, string-tied cake box filled with a streusel coffee cake, hot cross buns, stick

Homemade Seasonings

I found this on Pinterest. Several things I do miss about being allergy free. So happy they can be duplicated at home Make sure the minced onions are JUST onions. I personally would use kosher salt. Use raw sugar. Instead of sour cream use 0% greek yogurt.
