SALMON CHOWDER

I found this recipe on Pinterest, it was so different to me, I had to share it with you guys. I like chowders and I really like salmon but never have I ever heard of putting them together. let's see how we can make this completely allergy free!... SALMON CHOWDER Author:  Linda Etherton Recipe type:  Soup INGREDIENTS 1 Tablespoon oil (I would use olive oil) 1 medium yellow onion, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 3 cups chicken broth (organic, gluten free, yeast free) 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced (I might use presliced carrots) 1 large gold potato, peeled and diced 1 cup coconut milk (or any other unsweetened vegan milk) 12 ounces boneless, skinless salmon, cut into bite size pieces (I would more than likely precook this to speed up the process) ½ teaspoon dried dill weed salt and pepper to taste (kosher salt and other seasonings to taste)  INSTRUCTIONS In the bottom of a large sau...

Gluten Free Rp Pasta = Amazing!

#CookingWithMommy I'm behind several posts but this deserved to be pushed to the front of the line! Thank you @rpspasta for giving us the opportunity to try your #GlutenFree #Pasta. This is /was #AMAZING I didn't really have a #recipe, just trying to remember flavors that matched what I remembered #spinach #Fettuccine to taste like. First, the package stated that the pasta on its own was really flavorful (I'm thinking all companies say that) and toss with something light. I tasted the pasta to see if it was done and it was really good just by itself! (I salted the pasta water prior to cooking) I melted some #SmartBalance and added #OliveOil, #MincedGarlic, #DicedOnions, #Seasonings, #Parsley and #Shrimp. I let that sit and marinate while I made the pasta. I have a picky eater so I couldn't add the #Fresh #Organic #Tomatoes and #Pecorino until it was in my bowl. Speaking of my bowl, I had 2! I completely went over my calories on my #MyFitnessPal #App but it was totally ...

Long John Silver Inspired GF Fish

3/20/17:  I've made "non beer" battered fish before and it's been good and not so good. The last time I made it, it came out way too crunchy and I LOVE crunchy foods. This time I'm going to use the recipe for The  Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries .  I've also learned to halve the recipe. The complete recipe makes enough for like 4-6 people. I will post the ingredients and let's see what happens. Ingredients: I have 3 thin pieces of yellowfin sole 1 cup all-purpose flour (Gluten free All Purpose flour) (I used a 1/2 cup of flour) 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon onion salt 1 teaspoon salt (Kosher Salt) 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 cup water, or as needed (maybe because it was GF flour I used 3/4 cup) 1 cup vegetable oil for frying (Olive Oil/Sunflower Oil) Season to taste. (It was almost too salty, I suggest you season the flour, do pinches of salt and taste it before you batter the fish) 3/21/17: I guess you can say I had a huge sof...

Johnny Mango's Shrimp Fried Rice with Fiery Lime Sauce

Backstory: My friend introduced me to this AMAZING fried rice about 6yrs ago. She asked did I want "fried rice" (I'm thinking "traditional" fried rice) OH NO! I tasted this and my taste buds went crazy!!! I had her bring it as often as I could. Unfortunately I have never been to Johnny Mango (near Downtown Cleveland) myself. I have been craving this for about 6yrs and I am SOOOOO HAPPY that there is a recipe! I do still want to go to   Johnny Mango World Cafe & Bar but until then I will try to recreate it myself. If you ever visit Cleveland OH I suggest checking this out!  INGREDIENTS For the rice 2 cups  jasmine rice (I'd probably use white and brown) 2 3/4 cups  water (filtered clean water) 1 tablespoon  vegetable oil (Olive oil) 1 teaspoon  salt (kosher salt) 2  eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon garlic, minced 6 ounces  shrimp (large 31-40 count) 1/3 cup  scallions, sliced 1 cup  English cucumber, diced (organic) 1 ...
