Kate Farms Pt. 2

10/21/22     8:59pm

Heeeey! Hello! I miss you guys! It has been so much going on! I have been trying to figure out what to do with this blog, and how to approach it. I definitely don't want to shut it down forever (I have to admit, at one point, I was beyond tempted!)

So, the reason why I'm here is actually related to my last post, which was WAY back in MARCH!!! I have seriously been in withdrawal! I haven't had a Kate Farms Nutrition Shake in FOREVER (or so that's how it feels). Why you ask? Money! (I keep it real on ALL of my platforms! I never want anyone to think my/our situation is better than it seems; I never want anyone to think that I'm dwelling on our shortcomings for attention or sympathy! Absolutely NOT!)

Anyway, I was blessed enough to be able to get more & I am ridiculously excited & happy! My only issue is what am I going to do next month (in a couple weeks) when I have my surgery. The logical answer is for me to be a responsible adult & save the 11 I have left. Therefore being able to have smoothies during my recovery. My willpower on the other hand...👀  (we'll see!)

For more info on the company, I will link my previous post, I also mention it in the linked video

If & when you guys get it & taste it, let me know what you think! Like I said I use it as the base for my smoothies, other than that it reminds me of pediasure (my daughter lived on them forever so it's "a thing" over here - we'd rather not remember. I just wish we knew about Kate Farms 1st! 😭)

Hough Bakery - butter cookies

Hough Bakery By  Gail Greenberg   &   Diane Rolfe Hough Bakery was an integral  part of me and my family's lives, (most people in Cleveland for that matter) I was heartbroken when they closed. I have  always remembered the cookies and doughnuts from this magical bakery. Their products were like nothing I had ever had before (and it was extra  magical because I was so little/young) I have been searching for about 30 years for something similar - no luck... but, thank goodness there are a few recipes floating around the internet! Unfortunately  even with Archie's being open, my food afflictions will not allow  me to enjoy those old time favorites. Luckily, converting is what I do and that's what this site is about so I  will switch some things  around and see how it turns out! The recipe below is just ONE of my all time favorites, please enjoy! Memories of a signature blue-and-white, string-tied cake box filled with a streus...

Homemade Seasonings

I found this on Pinterest. Several things I do miss about being allergy free. So happy they can be duplicated at home Make sure the minced onions are JUST onions. I personally would use kosher salt. Use raw sugar. Instead of sour cream use 0% greek yogurt.
